Established in 1995 as a small institute for computer education, Orissa Computer Academy (OCA) started off with ‘O’, ‘A’, ‘B’, level computer courses. In 1996, OCA started its flagship programme-MCA (Full-Time) has contributed over 800 software engineers who have excelled in their field of expertise. Being a part of Krupajal Group, OCA is able to draw on the excellent inter-disciplinary faculty and various infra-structural facilities.

In its role as a founding member of the group, OCA endeavored to broaden the horizons of software education in the region. The teachers at OCA have done extremely well in the sphere of research and a number of them have presented papers at international workshops, seminars and conferences.

The programme:

The Master of Computer Application (MCA) is a three-year full time postgraduate degree programme, which moulds the students to fulfill the requirements of software industry. The programme is based on sound information technology and computer concepts. Both the technical and management issues of the software industry are fully dealt with in the MCA course. In the MCA programme students are given in-house projects so that they get intellectually prepared for developing software, which will be useful for them when they join Software companies on completion of their course.
