& admission procedure
Eligibility :-
For admission to the first semester:-
Pass or appearing in class 10th examination
of Board of Secondary Education, Orissa
or any examination equivalent thereto.
Note:- Candidates
are to produce their complete pass results
along with original mark sheet of the
class 10th examination at the time of
counseling for admission.
Lateral Entry :- Passed 2 years trade
from ITI (after passing class 10th) or
passed +2 vocational courses (not +2 Science,
Arts or Commerce) in the following trades
with at least 60% marks.
Two years ITI Trades
:- Surveyor, Draughtsman(Civil),
Electricians, Wireman (HSC Pass), Fitter,
Turner, Machinist (Grinder), Refrigeration
and Air Conditioning, Draughtsman (Mechanical),
Tool and Die Maker (Press Tools, Jigs
and Fixtures), Painter (HSC Pass), Electronics,
Mechanics Vehicles, Mechanic Computer
Hardware, IT and ESM, COPA (+2 as entry
level qualification). Maintenance and
Repair of Electrical domestic appliances,
Farm Mechanic Repair and Maintenance of
Radio and TV Receivers and Computer Application.
Reservations:-
Reservation to different categories as
per norms specified by Govt. of Orissa
will be applicable.
Out Side State Candidates:-
Out side state candidates are also eligible
to appear the Diploma Entrance Test (DET)
for admission to 1st semester of 3 years
Diploma Engineering Courses.
Out Side state candidates are not eligible
for Lateral Admission to 3rd Semester.
Admission Procedures:-
Students interested to join Diploma Engineering
can take admission on either of the two
procedures.
- Through DET Counseling
- Under Management Category
50% of the total intake
will be filled up through DET-08 counseling
& the remaining 50% seats are earmarked
for Management category.
Through DET Counseling
:- DET '08 examination will be
conducted by Directorate of Technical
Education and Training (DTE & T),
Govt. of Orissa. Candidates can obtain
form and information broachers from the
Krupajal Engineering School (KES) counter
on payment of Rs. 300/-. Forms and prospectus
can also be obtained from other Govt.
and private Engineering Schools. Complete
Application forms are to be submitted
at the Institutes counter on or before
the stipulated date.
Candidates have to qualify in the Diploma
Entrance Test (DET). The final admission
to the 3 years Diploma programme or two
years Lateral Entry programme is done
through Central Counseling conducted by
the State Govt.
Under Management Category
:- The candidates interested to
admit themselves through management category
have to qualify OPESA – CET '08/ DET '08.
